Materials needed: size G hook, small amount of yarn

Ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each remaining chain, ch 2, turn (counts as 1st dc on next row)

Row 1 *sk 2 sc, trc in next sc, working behind trc, dc in 2 sk'd sc. Dc in next sc, sk 1 sc, dc in next 2 dc; working in front of 2 dc, trc in sk'd sc, dc in next dc, rep from * across. Ch 1, turn

Row 2 Sc in each st across, ch 2 turn (counts as 1st dc on following row)

Row 3 *sk 1 sc, dc in next 2 dc, working in front of both dc, trc in sk'd sc, dc in next sc, sk 2 sc, trc in next sc, working behind trc, dc in 2 sk'd sc, dc in next dc, repeat from * across, ch 1, turn

Row 4 Sc in each st across, ch 2 turn (counts as 1st dc on following row)

Repeat rows 1 - 4 till square is approximately 7 inches, ending with row 4. Finish off and weave in all ends.
