This treasured crochet piece was made by my Grandmother Theresa. Although I never had the pleasure in meeting her, I feel a connection to her through the same love for crocheting.

The Pineapple Pincushion she made was of red size 10 crochet cotton, with a creamy white ribbon. The Pattern, which I am delighted to share with you , calls for yellow and white.

Then holding cushion with outside edge toward you working from back of loop, turn first loop of ribbon right side out and lay ribbon down toward the outside edge of cushion. Pick up the next loop before it is turned and draw ribbon gently until first loop forms a point. Continue forming a point in each loop of ribbon all around. Finish with ribbon bow.
